Secure it with one more factor besides the password.
You have two options:
- Log in to your MojeID account.
- On the main main page, click Manage next to the Two-Factor Authentication section, then click Add New Key.
- Use your mobile phone to scan the QR code, download the MojeID Key app, and install it.
- Open the app on your phone, select Scan QR code, and scan the second QR code from your computer screen. If you are using only a mobile device, tap Activate App to proceed.
- Set up the app by configuring your PIN and biometric login, then confirm everything in your MojeID account by logging in again.
- In the app, you will see that MojeID Key is active. Tap Start Using to complete the setup.
You can complete the entire process on your mobile device—the steps remain the same. For more details, check the Help section.
If you can't or don’t want to use the MojeID Klíč mobile app, or if you prefer to secure your account with a different key, you have options. You can use a physical USB/NFC security key, a system security key on Android 7+, or Windows Hello on Windows 10+.
- Sign in to your MojeID account.
- Click Manage in the Two-Factor Authentication section on the main page, then click Add New Key.
- Select either the Hardware Key/System Key option according to your preference.
- If you choose the Hardware Key option, attach it to the back of your mobile device or insert it into the USB port.
- Click Add, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup in your system settings.
- Confirm the key addition by signing back into your MojeID account.

Verify your identity.
Click Manage next to the Two-Factor Authentication section on your account home page, then select Get acces to public administration services. The system will prompt you to verify your identity. You can do this in several ways:
Select Authenticate with Czech Point, then click Download Document (PDF). The application is valid for 14 days.
Take a printed copy of the application or display it on your phone and visit the nearest Czech Point Office (located in selected post offices, and notary offices). Your identity will be verified free of charge. Don’t forget to bring your ID card.
Instructions for both you and the Czech Point officer are included in the application form—read them carefully, as you will need them.
Once your identity has been successfully verified, you will receive a confirmation email prompting you to complete the process.
Select Authenticate Otherwise. You will be redirected to identitaobcana.cz, where you will see a list of available authentication options.
- Using eObčanka – Verification is done using a new ID card that contains a chip and has its electronic functionality activated. A card reader and the required software must be installed.
- Using NIA ID (Username, Password, SMS) – Authenticate using the username and password you created on the National Point Portal. To complete the authentication, enter the verification code sent to your phone via SMS.
- Using the Starcos card (I.CA) – Authenticate using the Starcos smart card issued by První certifikační autorita, a.s., which was used to generate and store the private key of the identity commercial certificate. To log in, you will need a smart card reader (if not integrated into your PC/laptop) and the required control software installed.
Select Authenticate via the Physical Person Data Box and click Connect to Data Box. Make sure to check the box to consent to sharing your MojeID information. On the next page, proceed to the Data Box login page.
Log in to your Physical Person Data Box. Only an authorized person can log in, and only this type of Data Box can be used. Submit the prepared request with the subject Identity Verification for MojeID. The application is usually processed within a few minutes.
After your application is processed, you will receive a message in your Data Box. If your identity has been successfully verified, you will also receive a confirmation email prompting you to complete the process.

Complete the Process of Accessing Public Administration.
In your Account Overview, a banner for Complete Verification will appear once you have verified your identity. Click the button to proceed to a page displaying a table with your updated information. Carefully review the details, and if everything is correct, click Complete Verification again to finalize the process.

You can now access eGovernment services and the online services of other institutions via MojeID.
