MojeID Klíč – Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
1.1 Terms of Use
- The MojeID Klíč application (hereinafter the “application”) for the Android operating system is designed for two-factor authentication of users when logging into the MojeID service (hereinafter the “service”). The service is provided, and the application was created and is operated by CZ.NIC, z. s. p. o., Company ID No. 67985726, Milešovská 1136/5, Prague 3 (hereinafter the “CZ.NIC association”).
- The source code, name and logo of the application and other intellectual property contained or used in connection with the application are protected by copyright and other legal regulations governing intellectual property.
- The application may only be used based on the user’s agreement with these terms, expressed by installing and using the application and linking it to the service. The user may withdraw their consent by ceasing to use the application and removing the MojeID Klíč option in the settings of their service user account.
- The linking of the application with the service user account for the purpose of two-factor authentication is carried out via the service's website (https://www.mojeid.cz
). The user scans (takes a photo of) a unique QR code provided within their user account while setting up the application as an authentication tool. The linking of the application with the user account must also be confirmed by the user by setting a password and logging into the service again.
- If the application is successfully linked with the service user account, before each login to the service user account using the application, a login request will be delivered to the device where the application is installed – a prompt to log in and enter the set password will be displayed on the linked device. Confirmation of this request is a prerequisite for successful login to the service user account using the application.
- The user is obliged to protect the device on which the application is installed and the access credentials from misuse. This includes appropriate protection of the device against access by third parties, particularly, but not exclusively, through the use of passwords, regular updates of the operating system, a functional (permanently enabled) and updated antivirus program, the use of a secure Wi-Fi network and similar measures. The user assumes full responsibility for any damages incurred as a result of breaching this obligation and other obligations under these terms. In the event of losing control of the device on which the application is installed, it is advisable to promptly remove the application as an authentication tool from the service user account.
- The application may only be installed by the user from the Google Play store. When installing the application, the user must check that it is provided by the CZ.NIC association.
- The CZ.NIC association reserves the right to temporarily suspend the use of the application at any time for any reason (particularly technical, security, maintenance, administrative or other reasons) for the necessary time, without incurring any obligations towards the user. To the extent permitted by law, the CZ.NIC association shall not, under any circumstances, beliable for damages incurred by the user in connection with a failure when using the application.
- The CZ.NIC association reserves the right to permanently deactivate the application at any time, particularly for security or business reasons.
- The provision of the service is governed by the Terms of MojeID Service for End Users in its current version, available on the service's website (https://www.mojeid.cz
).

- The application does not require, and therefore does not process, any personal data of the service user for its functionality.
- To achieve its purpose and functionality, the application requires permission to access the camera of the linked device for the purpose of capturing a photo of the QR code, as well as permission to connect to the internet.
- The processing of the service user's personal data within the provision of the service is governed by the Privacy Policy, available on the website of the CZ.NIC association (https://www.nic.cz
).
- In connection with the protection of their personal data, the user has all rights provided by legal regulations – the right to request an explanation and elimination of any improper status, to request rectification or erasure, to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. For any questions or uncertainties regarding personal data protection, the user may contact +420 222 745 111
